The UCI Road World Championships will be held in Bergen from 16 to 24 September and is one of the world's largest sporting events in terms of participants, spectators and, not least, media interest. The logistics component of the event is considerable – both for shipping equipment to and from Bergen and – not least – during the event itself.
"It was natural for us to contact Posten Norge and Bring to solve this logistics requirement, and we're pleased to have an agreement that assures us that it will be carried out in the best possible way," says Harald Tiedemann Hansen, President of the Norwegian Cycling Federation and head of the world championships organisation.
"The world championships relies one hundred per cent on our delivering to the right place and at the right price. We have a big and important job ahead of us, but I know that our capable employees in Bergen and elsewhere will meet the challenge," says Elisabeth Gjølme, Executive Vice President Communications in Posten Norge.
Posten Norge and Bring will also use the UCI Road World Championships agreement to hold a variety of activities for their employees in a number of locations around Norway. One of these is participation in the public health campaign Cycle to the World Championships, which is already under way. Activities for employees will also be held during the championships.
