For the fifth consecutive year, the people of Norway have voted for their favourite online stores. As many as 82 000 votes were registered in Posten Norge and Bring's rating of Norway's best online stores. For the first time, this year’s People's Favourite Online Store award was divided into two categories: large and small/medium businesses (SMB). In fierce competition with over 1 400 other online stores, BliVakker won the award for large businesses and Coverbrands for the SMB market.
Large variety of online stores
"It's an amazing accomplishment for BliVakker to be voted the People's Favourite Online Store for three years in a row. Both they and Coverbrands should inspire many other online stores that want to succeed," says Executive Vice President E-commerce Division Gunnar Henriksen.
It was the health and beauty industry that dominated this year, but stores selling sports equipment, electronics and clothing were also ranked among the top ten.
The ten online stores that received the most votes in each category were tested by an independent user panel at market research firm IPSOS. The public’s votes count for 60 per cent of the final score and the test for 40 per cent. The winners scored high on clear product information, recommendations for other relevant products, multiple delivery options and user friendliness.
"We want to highlight the broad diversity of both newly established and well-established online stores in Norway by awarding the People's Favourite Online Store awards. Today we support stores that buy and sell worldwide. The technology, commerce and opportunities in this area are limitless," says Henriksen.
Happy prize winners
The awards were presented at the NXT e-commerce conference on 30 May. This year's winners are very proud to have won the title of the People's Favourite Online Store in their respective categories.
"For ten years, we have lived for our customers, and for the third year in a row they have voted us winners of the People's Favourite Online Store award. This is great, and we are very humble and grateful," says Sales and Marketing Director in Brandsdal Group, Lene Johansen.
Make-up artist Erlend Bratland in Coverbrands agrees:
"It's very pleasing, but very natural! We fought against many good competitors, but it's great to make it to the top!" exclaims Bratland.
